Randomness…

Or, a glimpse into my life.  Smile

Let’s see..

First, we have Jeff and Ethan stacking wood.  Yep, it’s that time of year.  Need to stock up for next year.  Smile

I needed… craved… had to have some greenery in my life… and I saw this at Wal-Mart for $14.  So I bought it.  And my soul is happy.  Smile

On the way home from dance class last night, God gifted us with this view…

March29-2

And, our biggest project in the last few days has been… the classroom.

Every now and again, I get the itch.  And I must clean out/re-organize everything.

And I mean everything.

Dudes, I was drowning in paper.

I don’t think non-homeschooling mom’s have this problem.  Maybe they do, who knows.  But, I’ve kept every. worksheet. that my children have completed over the course of their school years.

Justin is 12.

We started when he was 4.

That’s a lot of worksheets.  Winking smile

So, I’m not keeping them all anymore.  I rebel.  I figure if the truant officer or whoever needs to see that they’re doing/have done school, they can look at their *current* work.  I’m sure they can tell that the children are learning from that, right?

And so, Jeff (mostly patiently) helped me switch our computer desks around, and start to sort and organize.

Here’s our newly moved and organized desks:

Jeff’s ^ and mine is in the corner… with lots of school books, of course.  The piano used to be where Jeff’s desk is now, and we’ve moved it under the stairs where my desk was.  Me likey.

And….

This is what’s left:

Now, the two tubs on the right are filled with clothes that we’re selling… and pile on the table isn’t nearly as bad as it looks… so there’s hope!!

And now, I have to get back to it.  Break’s over.  Winking smile

  2. I know what you mean about your soul being happy. I bought myself flowers AND a MUM last week, and my soul is happy every time I look at them. I get it completely.

Jeff told me he knows it's spring when his wife has to declutter and move stuff. :D

LOVE THE DESKS... it looks great. Now if you could only keep them that way. ;)

  4. I too am of the variety that needs to clean and de-gut and organize when Spring comes.

I've been eying up the filing cabinet next to my desk for a while... and that dresser in the back room that is full of stuff (half of which I don't even know what it is or why it's there) IT MUST GO!

Love your organized space! Looks good! :)

  6. I've never been the type to be able to bear a messy desk. You can ask Mom, I was normally the only one with a clean and organized desk. Right now I have a book(one book) my wallet and keys and a beverage on my desk. All is well.

  7. Desks look GREAT!!

I've been sorting and organizing as well, as you know.

    Must be a Spring thing.

Very glad you rebelled. Like I said, if the "people" can't tell from the kids grade 5 work that they completed Kindergarten, then those people are dumb-a@#!s.

^Dan, you are going to make an amazing husband.
