It started with a family BBQ supper at mom's on Good Friday. It was so much fun to have everyone together! We watched a DVD after supper, and it struck me yet again how amazing Jesus' sacrifice was. God turned his back on Him. That means... Jesus was in hell. What is hell, but the absence of God? Makes me grateful and thankful.
Also, Friday was the awesome, hilarious, wish-I-had-a-video-camera coffee incident with Daniel. :D Nobody saw it but me and three littles, but trust me, it was awesome. ;)
Saturday was such a beautiful, sunny day. We did some outside work before Jeff had to go to work. It was so nice to get some raking done. And, Sarah and Tyler popped in on their way home from Tyler's family Easter. The kids had a blast playing with Uncle Tyler, and even jumping on the trampoline with him.
Today is another beautiful day. He is Risen today! The sunshine helps make it a joyful day. And, thanks to Carol, we have been enjoying these:
It has been a lot of fun to do this with the kids. Every egg is a surprise!
Here is the song that has been in my head all weekend.
Here is the song that has been in my head all weekend.
Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior,
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Death cannot keep its Prey, Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!

Awesome. One of my favourite hymns. Pretty neat arrangement too. Not bad.
